Resourceshero
A resource is a curated, published container for knowledge, not just a file. It serves as a bundle of one or more files (such as workshops, recordings, or toolkits) that share an overarching theme, description, and point of contact. Publishing a resource provides context, attribution, and intentional sharing—so work can travel responsibly.  Organizations can choose whether resources are publicly accessible, visible only to selected members, or shared within a specific Group context.

Resource Library

Public resources are added to The Open Impact Resource Library, a curated, shared collection of practices, tools, and knowledge intended to support the wellbeing of the planet, people, and place.
To contribute to this effort, on the description page of the resource, add ‘Public’ privacy and select ‘Yes’ under ‘Show in resource library?’

Review & Approval

All resources marked for inclusion in the Public Resource Library are reviewed by the OFC team before appearing in the shared community view. Review is based on:
  • Relevance to the broader community
  • Alignment with OFC focus areas
  • Clarity, completeness, and appropriate attribution
This review does not restrict your ability to:
  • Share a resource directly via link
  • Use a resource within specific groups or collaborations
It applies only to whether a resource appears in the shared public library.

Stewardship & Attribution

Resource authors and sponsoring organizations retain responsibility for:
  • Setting visibility and access permissions
  • Clearly noting usage restrictions, licenses, or attribution requests
  • Ensuring shared materials are appropriate for public reuse
If your resource has specific stipulations, please explicitly note them:
  • In the resource description
  • On any attached files
The Resource Library is not a marketplace or content feed. It is a shared learning commons, stewarded to support responsible reuse and collective capacity-building. Learn how to Publish Resources →
